MANUEL NEUER: Had to intervene for the first time after 16 minutes and used his fists to help with Johannesson’s shot, somewhat unorthodox. Otherwise rarely seriously examined. Grade: 3.5.

JONAS HOFMANN: The right-back apprentice was very high, but wasn’t involved very often. In his 45 minutes of play, he had the fewest ball actions after Werner (25). Grade: 3.5.

NIKLAS SÜLE: Came on 85 ball actions in his 60 minutes of play. Hit some nice diagonal balls on the left to Sane and also played the ball to Kimmich before the 1-0. In the duels without any problems. Grade: 2.5.

ANTONIO RÜDIGER: Scored the 2-0 after a strong run with a beautiful header – his second goal in the 47th international match. Together with Kehrer with the most ball conquests in the DFB team (10). Grade: 2.5.

THILO KEHRER: The left-back always moved into the middle when Hofmann was standing high. Got some good ball wins. Very concerned about safety in the passing game. Later on the road as a central defender. Note 3.

JOSHUA KIMMICH: His assertion of the ball in the style of a center forward made it 1-0 possible. Prepared the 2-0 with a free kick chip. Had the most ball actions in Germany (138) and won almost every one of his duels. Grade: 2.

LEON GORETZKA: Fought most of the duels of the DFB team (19) and won over half of them. Failed in the 27th with a low shot just barely at the brilliantly reacting Halldorsson. Smart ball on Sane, which led to the 3-0. Grade: 2.5.

SERGE GNABRY: Slipped in after four minutes to make it 1-0 and thus scored his 19th goal in only 29th international match. Replaced at the break with the weakest pass rate in the DFB team (73 percent). Grade: 2.5.

ILKAY GÜNDOGAN: Moved up to ten for Reus. Very discreet in the first half, after the break with significantly more ball contacts and good passes. Had the feet in the big chances of Werner (48th) and Havertz (55th) in the game. Grade: 2.5.

LEROY SANE: In his submission to make it 1-0, it was exactly right to play the ball from Kimmich straight into the middle to Gnabry. Put a free kick over it in the 37th. Strong, consistent finish on his goal to make it 3-0. Grade: 2.

TIMO WERNER: With just 22 ball actions in 90 minutes. At half time only with a weak header (28th). Missed two big

KAI HAVERTZ: Substituted for Gnabry at the break. Nine minutes later, he missed a one hundred percent chance to score freely in front of Halldorsson. Aimed too centrally with his header after Werner’s shot (66th). I played it 4-0.

LUKAS KLOSTERMANN: Came for Hofmann in the second half. He was not played often either (31 ball actions). Werner’s weak conclusion prevented a goal assist from Leipzig (61st). Grade: 3.5.

ROBIN GOSENS: Came for Süle after an hour. Kehrer moved into central defense for him from the left. A little later, Gosens put a header over it after a corner (69th). Otherwise little demanded. Grade: 3.5.

JAMAL MUSIALA: He was also substituted on after 60 minutes, Sane made way. Tried one-on-one a few times, but not as powerful this time. His contact with the hoe, who cleared Havertz before the 4-0, was extremely strong. Note 3.

FLORIAN WIRTZ: The youngest in the German team was allowed to play for ten minutes and came for Goretzka. Was without any noteworthy action. No rating.
